Introducing Don Henderson

Don Henderson

It all started with one sentence… “I can tell you, it’s not going to be good news”. It was the first time I’d meet this young GP and he’s handing me bad news… lol!

Hi I’m Don Henderson, and on that day in June of 2010, with those words, I started my cancer journey at the age of 45… I know, its not fair, but life isn’t about fair.

Which is really kind of the point… When you are faced with a life impact that completely changes the rule of the game, you’re left with 3 choices;

  1. You can wallow is self pity, give up and die
  2. You can live in denial
  3. Or, you can take ownership, look for the opportunity and get the job done…

I don’t think that I will really need to say much about myself here… The video’s and post will reveal who I am, with all my quirks and idiosyncrasies.

As my good friend Eugene Moreau puts it, “Don you’re an oxymoron, you’re coming and going at the same time…”, ain’t that the truth.

As a strategist its my job to see the big picture, to see the game play from all angles and not rely on the limited view point of a single perspective. What that often means is that I will challenge your construct of the world… For me cancer has become an opportunity, and in that simple statement I have already challenged your thinking. Or, at least the thinking of most who would ready this.

For now all you need to know is that you’ll need an open mind, firstly to get beyond my style of speaking – it’s from the hip and can be as impactive as a 44 magnum. ¬†Secondly it’s raw… none of what I will share will be scripted, it will all come from the heart, conversation style and finally, my motivation for this comes from a simple desire… to help you understand 2 things, 1) life’s to short, 2) be you.

In Closing

Please feel free to contact me or leave comment… I sincerely hope what I have to say will resonate with you and help you to find the opportunity in front of you, regardless of your circumstance.

Make every minute count
